Today marks Election Day in the USA, a moment when our nation finds itself deeply divided. If you’ve tuned into the news, you’re likely aware that polling reveals a striking split: half of the electorate aligns with one side, while the other half stands firm in their convictions. Each group is fueled by good intentions, striving to create the best possible lives for themselves and their communities. They hold diverse perspectives on what issues deserve priority and how to tackle them effectively. This spirited debate is a cornerstone of governance in a nation as vast and diverse as ours.

Yet, amid this discourse, I hear voices filled with concern—worries about being victimized, fears of being overlooked, and anxieties about disrespect. There are palpable apprehensions surrounding immigration and the financial pressures it may place on our communities. Many express their struggles to secure basic needs like housing and food.

These sentiments resonate everywhere, permeating our conversations and media.

In light of this, I can’t help but ponder: what if the fervor for faith in God were expressed as vigorously and passionately as our political views? How much further along might we be on our journey toward understanding, unity and sanctification. Even within the realm of faith, disagreements arise, reminding us of the critical need for tolerance and respect.

This is indeed a lot to bring before God in prayer. How can we navigate these complex challenges that often feel beyond any single individual’s control? Let us roll up our sleeves and engage actively, striving to enrich our lives and the lives of those around us. As we pray, know that God’s blessings will shine upon you, illuminating your path. As a Pastor, I listen and keep your sentiments dear as I give them to the Lord in my prayers. My heartfelt prayers are for the well-being of each and every one of you. Remember, prayer is not just a personal act; it’s a powerful source of empowerment. So, I encourage you to surrender your apprehensions and anxieties to God. Start each day with a moment of prayer and a daily scripture to guide you.

Maintain a positive mindset, resist the urge to judge one another, and seek common ground. Remember, God is capable of boundless miracles, including provisions for us all. The golden rule—treat others as you wish to be treated—is a powerful guide. Let us strive to listen, respect, and uplift one another. Commit to discipline and consistency in your own life, while extending that same support to those around you.

Together, we can foster an environment of compassion and unity, transcending our differences and building a brighter future for all.

Regardless of who occupies the White House, God reigns supreme. Our Lord God surpasses any decision, verdict, law, or political figure. He watches over and safeguards all who are faithful to Him.

The Bible says:

Matthew 7:1-5

1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. 3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

Leviticus 19:33-34 says, "When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. The stranger who sojourns with you shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God

Ephesians 4:2

2 Live and work without pride. Be gentle and kind. Do not be hard on others. Let love keep you from doing that.

Philippians 4:6

6 Do not worry. Learn to pray about everything. Give thanks to God as you ask Him for what you need.

Hebrews 13:1 Keep on loving each other as Christian brothers. 2 Do not forget to be kind to strangers and let them stay in your home. Some people have had angels in their homes without knowing it.

1Peter 3:15 1 Peter 3:15

15 Your heart should be holy and set apart for the Lord God. Always be ready to tell everyone who asks you why you believe as you do. Be gentle as you speak and show respect.
