Immediately, we have an extensive insight of The Lord’s intention for mankind, within the very first book and first verse of the Bible. Genesis begins with the most defining and profound declaration:

Genesis 1

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

God is the creator of all things.

He is the creator and orchestrator of the universe.

God is merciful

Many of you have asked the question who is God and furthermore, how is it that we are deserving of God’s loving blessing? In the following verses in Genesis it depicts the conception of man through God and man’s profound role in the world.

Genesis 1:27

27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God, he created them. Male and female he created them.

Genesis 1:26

26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

God is our creator, Our Father

We are his children, his creation, made in his image. Not only has Our Heavenly Father given man life, but he has made man his own likeness. He has provided the Word through scripture and the sacrificed his son Jesus our Messiah to relinquish us from binding sin. He has bestowed a definite pathway through Christ the Son and through the power of The Holy Spirit that grants his children redemption and that grants those of his children life with him eternally. He is our protector, our constant companion, and as faithful believers you are deserving of his blessings according to God.

1 John 3:1

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so, we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

God is our protector, healer and redeemer

When you see or hold an infant or see a small child anywhere, we do not think even for one minute that the baby or the child should fend for itself and most of us would protect that child even if it was not our very own child with our very own lives. As parents we never give up on our children although many children give their parents every reason to throw our hands in the air. Sometimes all a parent can do is pray for their children. Given, the nature of man that inevitably sins while living in the flesh, we feel that we are not worthy of God’s blessings; However, The Father shows his constant, merciful grace allowing us to be reborn. Our bodies are temporary, but our spiritual self is eternal through Christ. It is difficult for many to believe that God’s love provides us a chance to eternal life that is the ultimate demonstration of his grace and mercy. In Genesis 1, God is revealed as the creator of all things and described as “merciful”. Our Heavenly Father’s love is unwavering, and his intention is for each of us to have an intimate relationship with him and for all of us to have blessed and peaceful lives.

Whoever you are, wherever you live, whatever you do, does not change that you are a child of God. Unquestionably, our Father Lord God, our creator and Savior is worthy of our praise, glory and honor.

Revelation 4:11

“You are worthy, our Lord and God,

to receive glory, honor, and power,

for you created all things,

and by your will they were created

and have their being.”

Ephesians 3:19

and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Isaiah 53:5

But he was pierced for our transgressions,

he was crushed for our iniquities.

the punishment that brought us peace was on him,

and by his wounds we are healed.

Psalms 147:3

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Revelation 21:4-7

4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death

or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children
