1 Corinthians 1:27-29

27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him.

Thus be humble but be bold.

If you're feeling discouraged and unworthy, turn to The Word for inspiration. The Bible contains numerous instances of unlikely individuals being selected by God to become heroes, leaders, and champions. Never underestimate your worth, and don't let fear and a lack of self-worth steer you away from your life's purpose.

Remember that God values you and deems you worthy.

Do not dwell in discouragement and self-doubt. Place your trust in the Lord for your purpose. He has assigned you a task because he has a specific plan for you and a destiny in store. If you possess true faith, you cannot be consumed by worry. Allowing your discouragement to hinder your actions and change your path is a sinful decision that reflects a lack of faith. With faith, you are liberated to rise above.

Consider the analogy of the eagle and the crow: The crow is the only bird that preys on an eagle, attacking it from behind while in flight. Instead of engaging the crow, the eagle ascends to higher altitudes, making it difficult for the crow to breathe. The eagle is built to soar at such heights, unlike the crow, causing the crow to release its grip and abandon the attack. Leave your discouragement and self-doubt behind, and strive for your fullest potential. Look to the scriptures for examples of individuals who were called to much greater things than they or others anticipated. Seek God in prayer, and witness how he can transform your life.

This story brings to mind the young people who have sought my advice on pursuing careers in the fire department and police department. Many of them come from our community and face significant challenges in their lives. They often feel daunted by the prospect of joining any organization, especially prominent ones like corporations or government agencies. They express concerns about the requirements and worry about rejection, hesitating to even apply. However, when I look at them, I see only potential and highly qualified candidates who, with the right training and credentials, can achieve great success. I offer them my prayers, guidance and encouragement, and sometimes introductions while assuring them that they are capable and that they are destined for the right path.

It is fulfilling to see their growth and transformation as they strengthen in faith, make strides in their careers and in life. It is wonderful when they begin to fellowship and begin to give a hand up inspiring others to soar as they do. Their faith is the main element in their success. Praise the Most High.

Try these two things Prayer and Perseverance.

Elevate your focus and confront life and its trials

with the resolute spirit of Moses.

Moses was specifically chosen by God to guide his people out of Egypt, an unexpected selection that would have surprised those close to him, or even his younger self. His mission and calling transcended his personal ambitions. Sometimes, what you need is a sense of purpose. Reflect on your life and the world around you to identify ways in which you can make a difference. How can you contribute to improving your church, family, or community? Is there someone who could benefit from your help, or a charitable cause or organization where you could volunteer? Often, the solutions are closer than you realize.

When there is a calling in your heart, in other words a goal of ambition that you wish to achieve, consult God in prayer and ask for his assistance.

Exodus 3:11-15

11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”

12 And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you[b] will worship God on this mountain.”

13 Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”

14 God said to Moses, “I am who I am.[c] This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”

15 God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord,[d] the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’

Additionally, I share

these relevant scriptures:

Deuteronomy 31:6 calls us to embrace courage and strength, not because of our own abilities or resources, but because we know that God is with us. By placing our trust in Him, we can face any obstacle with confidence, secure in the knowledge that He is working for our good.

Hebrews 12:1-2

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.

1 Samual 16:7-12

But the Lord told Samuel, “Don’t look at his appearance or how tall he is, because I have rejected him. God does not see as humans see.[a] Humans look at outward appearances, but the Lord looks into the heart.”

Then Jesse called Abinadab and brought him to Samuel. But Samuel said, “The Lord has not chosen this one either.”

Then Jesse had Shammah come to Samuel. “The Lord has not chosen this one either,” Samuel said. 10 So Jesse brought seven ⌞more⌟ of his sons to Samuel, but Samuel told Jesse, “The Lord has not chosen ⌞any of⌟ these. 11 Are these all the sons you have?”

“There’s still the youngest one,” Jesse answered. “He’s tending the sheep.”

Samuel told Jesse, “Send someone to get him. We won’t continue until he gets here.”

12 So Jesse sent for him. He had a healthy complexion, attractive eyes, and a handsome appearance. The Lord said, “Go ahead, anoint him. He is the one.”

Isaiah 40:31

But those who wait on the Lord

Shall renew their strength;

They shall mount up with wings like eagles,

They shall run and not be weary,

They shall walk and not faint.
